In a goal towards sustainability, Green Building has been the current trend in the Building and Construction Industry.

For the plumbing industry to adopt, LEEDv4 provided a baseline criteria for fixture to be called "Water-Saving" fixtures. The following table shows the required flow rates for common fixtures:

The Davao City Rainwater Ordinance requires Storm Water Retarding Tanks or Ponds especially for horizontal developments. However, there is no specifics on how it is to be sized and design.

In our 2nd Session - Storm Water Drainage Design, we will be learning how to calculate stormwater run-off on Site Developments and how to design and size storm water retarding tanks.
