Davao Chapter holds First Chapter GMM

Apr 2, 2022

The National Master Plumbers’ Association of the Philippines (NAMPAP) Davao Chapter held its first and on-site General Membership Meeting (GMM) last April 1, 2022, at Helen’s Kitchen, Buhangin.

The meeting kicked off with the introduction of the chapter officers, and the roll call of the attendees and called to quorum by RMP Meljune Orillosa, Chapter President. The agenda was to gather the members, old and new, to present the reports and plans that are in-store for the members of the association by the National as well as the local chapter in order to revive the chapter and its members, encourage interest and preserve the integrity of the profession.

Giving value to accountability and transparency, a secretary’s report and a treasurer’s report were presented by RMP Jeziel Besinan and RMP Daryll Padua respectively. RMP Meljune Orillosa, Chapter President, presented the lined-up activities for the year 2022 with the emphasis on the Mindanao Conference in August, and the NAMPAP National Convention in November, which will be hosted by the Davao Chapter.

RMP James Magdadaro also launched the NAMPAP Davao website with the goal of empowering registered master plumbers and NAMPAP members. The site has various features that aim to introduce the profession, educate, inform and update, and encourage members, aspiring master plumbers, sponsors, and even allied professions to interact on one platform. Educational courses are also underway on the same platform as part of the chapter’s goal to uplift the profession by providing an online venue of self-directed courses, as a long-term solution and response to the current situation of migrating things online due to the pandemic.
