The National Master Plumbers’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (NAMPAP) held its 1st Technical Conference and National Election last January 29, 2022 virtually via Zoom platform hosted by the NAMPAP Davao Chapter.
The tripartite event started with the Technical Conference where three speakers shared their knowledge on the topics namely, “Valves and Actuators in plumbing: When and how to use them” by Ar. James Ray L. Magdadaro, NAMPAP Davao Chapter Vice President; “Pumps and Pumps systems for Plumbing” by Engr. Allan S. Dumlay, NAMPAP National President; and “Sanitary Sovent Drainage System Design” by Mr. Manuel Breuer of Geberit. Product presentations were also given by the various event sponsors namely, AVK Philippines, Grundfos Pumps Philippines, and Geberit Philippines.
Following the insightful seminars was the Oath Taking and Acceptance of New Members to the association by Ar. Prospero Abellano, PRC Board of Master Plumber, and RMP Al Joevid Mirasol, NAMPAP National Chairman on the Operations Committee.
Lastly, the Election of National Officers and Board of Directors concluded the three-part event with the presentation of candidates, closing of ballot submission, declaration and presentation of the new set of officers and board of directors by Ar. Prospero Abellano.
Among the elected Board Members from Mindanao is the Davao Chapter’s very own Chapter President, Engr. Meljune D. Orillosa, who was then elected as NAMPAP Vice President for Mindanao, and Engr. Leodigario D. Eteng.
With the success of the first event, virtual at that, hosted by the NAMPAP Davao Chapter, Ar. James Magdadaro, Davao Chapter Vice President and Event Chairman said, “Even with a limited time of preparation, we are proud that through the participation of our active Board of Directors and members, we are able to do the task that was entrusted to us by our National President RMP Allan Dumalay. This is a turning point for the Davao Chapter to show that we can be an active agent to uplift NAMPAP and the plumbing profession.”
